What People Say - click on the names Sai Srinivas (snammula@deloitte.com)Our meeting with you was with a major motive of understanding your organization, I must admit that we are really impressed with the way Sphoorti is been organizing, We could see that the entire NGO activities were run in a very professional manner, we liked the way the kids treated us, our every observation led us to a only one conclusion, Sphoorti has a great future (as you treated Sphoorti as business model, I am treating it as a business case). We had a great learning experience of how a NGO is to be maintained, and treated so that it excels in the role for which it is started…. Sphoorti is an outstanding example of a professionally maintained organization. Mamta Rao (mamtarao12@gmail.com) Saturday 21st June was a memorable day in my life. I finally made it to Sphoorti after planning a couple of times before that dint work out. At first, I was quite apprehensive about how i wud face those kids,me being one emotional bag! Since ever before, I have always had the desire to reach out to underprivileged ppl, esp children, but it had only stayed as a desire/thought like most of us possess. Thankfully, I happened to search for NGOs on Orkut one day and Sphoorti, the name and its impressive logo caught my attention and i went through the details. That is how Sphoorti came into my life. They say 'Loving is giving' without expecting and that is wat i thought the spirit of the kids at sphoorti sums upto. There is a lot that I got/learnt from them that day. I felt like a special entity, being welcomed with warm smiles and children asking me my name and showing me around the place. Kids in Sphoorti are in every way at par with any other kid outside; be it discipline, cleanliness or behaviour. I was completely amazed by the neat and organized rooms. Clothes in place, neatly folded uniforms up on the hangars.. shoes and socks arranged together, footwear neatly arranged outside the rooms... all this personally done by the inmates themselves. A few older kids supervise these tasks and help the younger ones with their studies etc. The enthusiasm and responsibility with which they conduct their daily chores is highly applausive. All of them are a talented lot and they often engage themselves in drawing and painting as well as dancing, singing and playing games. They are one big happy family, sharing and caring for each other, definitely on their way to becoming the future responsible and bright citizens of our country. Hats off to Srivyal, who converted his dream into a reality in Sphoorti and has been working relentlessly and selflessly since Sphoorti came into existence. A man with a beautiful mind and heart, I am truly thankful to Sri for being generous enough to let ppl like me be a part of his organisation. Spending 2 hrs with the children has made such a deep impact in my mind and heart, i have decided to be associated with Sphoorti on a regular basis and in as many ways i can, to help them grow bigger. Not just me, my entire family is now planning our next visit to meet the kids and spend some quality time with them on weekends. I consider myself lucky and proud to be a part of Sphoorti now. :) God bless Sphoorti. Bhargav (bhargav_gopal325@yahoo.co.in) i was not at all aware of sphoorti until i saw in some of the websites......i casually visited the sphoorti website but i was really touched by the kids....and thought of lending my hands to them......i approached my frends and we all planned to visit sphoorthi..... me and my frends visited sphoorthi in april.....it was a hot sunny day....we travelled alomost 40kms to reach sphoorthi......we were tired but we really had a warm welcome from the kids.....all the kids were very small cute and talented.... everyone were rushing to us saying gudmrng and HAPPY UGADI......they were pushing us into their HOME........we were feeling sorry for them....we brought only chocolates.... we dint had much to give them....but they gave us lots of luv....... we introduced ourselves to the kids....here i want to share a small incident.... wen we entered the home...a small boy came near to my frend and asked wts ur name...my frend replied "raju"....the boy gave him blast replying him "endhukantha pozuuu"...hehe.....we dint stop laughing for almost 15mins....kids were too cute and lovely..... we went there at the wrong tym i.e., lunch tym...so we dint much interact with kids...but it was really a gud experience.... we r planning to collect donations from our college and donate .....we will defenitely do that......... luv u kids......and once again srivyal u r doing a great job sir.....really u just rock.....take care...!!!! Sridhar Kothuri (sreedotcom@gmail.com) First, I would like to say thank you and God bless you for your Sphoorti foundation. Abhishek (yeraabh@gmail.com) It was my honor to visit Sphoorti other day in Hyderabad, India. When I reached there, around 10-12 kids came to us wishing "Hi Anna, How are you?" with full gusto. I was excited to see the kids, and they took us inside the building (Srivyal was with us too). We went inside, sat down for a couple of hours talking to all the kids. Kids took me on a small tour inside. It was an amazing experience to be there at Sphoorti and spend time with the children. These kids can really dance, I liked the dance performances by them. There are total of 43 kids (19 girls & 24 boys), and I can say that SPHOORTI IS ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY. All credit to Srivyal. I request you all to visit Sphoorti if you visit Hyderabad to get a first hand experience. Srivyal is planning to add more kids, and reach 100 by end of this year. Rajender 26 Jan 2008, it was 5 in the evening ..... when a frnd called up and asked me to accompany him to some place....not being aware of where i was going ,i jus stepped into the vehicle and he took me to a small house in cherlapally..... with all hesitation and shy i entered a building ,thinking where the hell i was and wat i was doing there..... as i stepped inside, a kid comes and introduces himself..followed by 4-5 others.........being shy , i was standing at a corner.....a lil gal emerges from the crowd, takes my hand and pulls me into " ringa ringa roses" game..hehe ... then comes a lil guy who wants to play " puli meka " ..... a feeling of love and closeness surrounded me when those lil hands were in my hands....and jus a few minutes later i find that the kids were on my shoulders..... some wanted me to lift them high into the air.....some wanted me to play "leg stamp" with them.....and i find that i wasnt standing at a corner...but i was at the center of the crowd, surrounded by kids !!! and it was dark and i didn't want to leave the place..... love the place and the kids..... the energy n enthusiasm these kids have is really great..... definitely will visit the place again and again.... and hope ppl will post details whenever such events are organised again..... Ramana I visited SPHOORTI this deewali and i really felt very happy But it is important to expand this as much as possible. ive seen real joy and real happiness in every one's eyes and i want to convey my appreciation to every one who associated with it. specially to Santosh and Srivyal. I think we should not hesitate to approach govt. in this regard, i know most people don't trust governement but i dont think there is any harm in approaching it. All of us should try to use our links to get some sort of land allotted so that we can have permanant buildings. i dont know who are the founders of this, i know they are Srivyal's friends but i dont know ur names...., but take a bow.......... we need more people like u.
